COSTA MESA, CA (August 7, 2018) - MotoAmerica is set to turn Sonoma Raceway into a carnival this weekend as the Cycle Gear Championship of Sonoma invades the Northern California racetrack for round seven of the 2018 MotoAmerica Series, August 10-12, complete with all the things that make a carnival a carnival. Minus the bearded lady.
Beginning on August 10 at 8 a.m., Sonoma Raceway in Northern California's wine country will turn into part racetrack part carnival as the fan area turns into a state fair-like atmosphere with all the fun you find at all the best carnivals.
For starters there are the carnival games and lots of them. From the Water Race Game Trailer where the most accurate sprayer wins, to the Balloon Pop game to the multi-game trailer that features Alien Stars, Flip-A-Chick and Ducks Away to the rest of the Carnival Midway Booths with games like Milk Can Mania and Ring The Bottle.
And what's a carnival without the strength-testing Hi-Striker where you test your strength by swinging a mallet and hitting the target hard enough to send the puck to the top of the 18-foot-high tower.
Kids will also enjoy the Five-In-One Bouncer that's Disney themed and can accommodate several children at once in four-minute intervals.
Want to feel like the racers of MotoAmerica? Then head on over to the MotoGP Racing Simulator Arcade Game in the Carnival where the MotoGP Racing Simulator will give you the chance to race the likes of Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo without the fear of crashing - or at least without the fear of the consequences of crashing. The game, from Raw Thrills, is the official, fully licensed motorcycle simulator arcade game and it gives you the chance to race your heroes on 10 of the most famous MotoGP tracks from around the world.
You get the picture? There's plenty of fun to be had at Sonoma Raceway this weekend and not all of it is happening on the racetrack. And admittance to the Carnival is free with your MotoAmerica ticket.
The Cycle Gear Championship of Sonoma is round seven of the 2018 MotoAmerica Series and will feature the Motul Superbike class, Supersport, Liqui Moly Junior Cup presented by RiderzLaw, the RiderzLaw Stock 1000 class and the RiderzLaw Twins Cup. Practice and qualifying are set for Friday, August 10, with racing action slated for Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12.
