Fans who flocked to Sonoma Raceway to enjoy the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals drag races and Ferrari Challenge races not only enjoyed energy and excitement of these two events, but also helped generate $112,500 for Speedway Children's Charities Sonoma, surpassing 2022 totals and making a significant impact for children and families in the local Sonoma community.

Sonoma Raceway teamed up with Vitalant on March 3, 2023 for a Blood Drive at the racetrack! Over 66 lifesavings units of blood was collected which helped save the lives of over 198 people.

$200,000 have been gifted to local Sonoma non-profits as part of Speedway Children’s Charities Sonoma Chapter’s annual grant program. 39 local organizations were chosen from the many applicants to receive funds, and this year’s financial awards will help fund critical needs programs that provide resources for shelter, food, medical and dental care, mental health, education and more.

Sonoma Raceway team members from all departments recently volunteered at the Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa. Giving a combined total of 75 hours of their time, the group worked packaging produce for patrons who come to pick up fresh, healthy food for their families.

The group worked in teams to sort, weigh and bundle the produce, and ended up packaging 13,205 pounds of produce which will provide over 11,000 meals for those in need.
